I just wanted to share a quick Black Friday tip with you that will help you to get more sales.
Black Friday is the day after the Thanksgiving holiday, which always takes place on a Thursday in the United States (but has since spread around the world). Black Friday is so named because it is the biggest shopping day of the year. The term “black” is an accounting expression for the practice of recording profits in an accounting ledger in black ink; losses are recorded in red ink.
As the first day after the last major holiday before Christmas, it marks the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Additionally, in the US many employers give their employees the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Last year Black Friday was one of my biggest days online for selling both Kindle and Createspace books. The only day that I sold more books was the 27th December (the day after Boxing Day).
My tip: Do not have any books on free promo on this day. If you have books that are in the middle of a 5-day free promotion stop the promo and start it again on Sunday / Monday.
This will help you to sell a lot more books. You do not want your best selling books to be free on this day.
That’s it. Hope that small tip helps you get lots of sales.
