What A Typical Day Looks Like For Me

I’ve had some questions recently about what a typical day for me looks like now I run my business full time. So I thought I would write a blog post to cover exactly what it looks like. I think my average day will look a lot different than the days that other online business owners like to show on Instagram and other social media platforms.

I want to point out that this is only what it looks like Monday to Friday and not weekends. My weekends are typically like most other people’s weekends, I do work sometimes but only an hour or two at most. I like to keep my weekends free for spending time with friends and family.

8 am – 9 am – Wake up and drink 2 glasses of water (10 mins)

I normally wake up between 8 and 9 am and drink 2 big glasses of water to rehydrate myself because we are all dehydrated when we first wake up in a morning. I find not being dehydrated helps me focus because I don’t feel ‘foggy’.

8 am – 9 am – Write out goals and gratitude (10 mins)

I then write out my goals and what I’m grateful for. I’ve covered this in another post here if you are interested in what I do.

8 am – 9 am – Headspace (10 minutes)

I also try and do the Headspace meditation app at least 3 times per week.

8 am – 9 am – Start work (1 – 4 hours)

I then do between 1 and 4 hours of work usually. By work, I mean actual productive work not wasting time on Facebook and Twitter. The amount of work I do will depend on how much work I need to do that day. I normally have between 4 and 8 tasks to complete in my todo list which I write the day before and I stop working as soon as they are all done. I find I can get the most done in the shortest amount of time first thing in the morning.

1 pm – Go to the gym (1 hour to 1.5 hours)

Once work is done and out of the way, I go to the gym to lift weights and do some cardio afterwards. When you work from home it is super important to make sure you get enough exercise (at least 30 minutes per day). I try and get at least an hour a day now I have more free time.

2 pm – Eat (Meal 1)

I’ve done intermittent fasting for the last 8 months so I don’t eat breakfast. I’ve found that I am more productive in the morning as a result of not eating right away. I do this so I can burn more body fat but more importantly have more calories for later on in the day for when I am most hungry. I usually eat my first meal between 1 and 3 pm.

2.30 pm – Watch TV / Play video games

I normally have some downtime and play video games or watch Netflix for a couple of hours

6 pm – Eat (Meal 2)

Then I eat a big dinner normally over 1000 calories.

8 pm – Train MMA / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Then if I’m training that night I go that for an hour or two to finish off the day. If I’m not training I usually watch a movie or Netflix. Also if I’m not training I normally have a small meal or a snack (Meal 3).

11 pm – 12 pm – Go to bed

By 11 pm I’m normally pretty tired from work and all the exercise so I normally crash about this time. I try and read a book for at least 30 minutes before sleep but it doesn’t always happen. That ends my typical day.

Conclusion

So that’s what a typical day looks like for me. I know it’s not riding around in a Lamborghini or on a fancy yacht like some Christian Guzman / Tai Lopez video but I like it. More importantly, it’s what makes me happy and I think that is the most important thing.

Thanks for reading. If you have any questions please ask them in the comments below. Cheers!
